Opinion Please

I need a vote from my ONE reader--

Talk about diet, books, writing, family, work, all of it here? Or, since my diet journey is going to take a bit of time if I'm realistic, maybe I should put it somewhere else.

Ambien. Since my chester drawer handles look more like smiles than drawer handles, and everything in the room is sort of swelling in and out, like breathing, but it's not scary at all, because I know it's the Ambien and it's me being affected not anything else in the room...

This entry may have gotten away from me... do I dare leave it?

  1. Don't do a separate blog. It's always lame when people do that. (Ha, now if you do it I've called your choice lame. So now you CAN'T.) What I mean is: what's the point, really. A blog is a blog is a blog. We're eluding ourselves into thinking it's about one thing. Most of the time it's just a journal of where we are now.

  2. AKA: You can blog about dieting and still do it poetically.

  3. I had a dream that you responded to this, and it went like this: "You're right. I think I was trying to compartmentalize my diet as if it wasn't a part of my life, but it is. It needs to be. I think the best thing to do would be to embrace it here." Or something like that. Hahaha. (It's because I commented here just before going to bed.)

  4. I must be the "other reader?" I've done the mom, faculty member, no time for my own projects thing. A blog is what you choose it to be (more deep thoughts where that came from.) But sometimes you really don't have time to make a rational choice and just need the blog for a spot to write it down as you take stock of your life. I'm trying to put more finished pieces on my blog. Unexpected consequences? I think I may have shut down!

  5. Sometimes my blog feels like a place I sort of "land," like I'm flying through the air, legs pedaling, and I hit ground, take a few steps, before hitting the air again. And when it's like that, it certainly is what I need it to be, which is rather hodge-podgey really. And that's okay. In other words, I agree-- you're both right.

And I forgot I wrote this entry until I opened my blog to put up a new entry. Dang, Ambien, you win this round...
